Our Promise: an ethical engagement
At Max Wilson’s, we understand the importance of providing our customers with responsibly sourced diamonds and precious gemstones. Along with the global diamond industry, we have a zero-tolerance policy towards conflict diamonds. In 2002, a coalition of governments, non-governmental organisations and the diamond industry established the Kimberley Process to control the export and import of rough diamonds to eliminate the trade in conflict diamonds.
Our Diamonds
Our diamonds are mined throughout the world in places such as Australia, Russia, Canada and Africa. Today, 99% of diamonds in the marketplace are conflict-free.
...Furthermore, a significant portion of our diamonds are accompanied by a certification report. The Gemmological Institute of America fully supports the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme and upholds its principles. In 2000, GIA began working closely with the World Diamond Council (WDC) as they led the international diamond industry’s efforts to stem the illegal flow of conflict diamonds into the international marketplace. All our rough diamonds are sourced either directly from a known mine or from a supplier with a limited number of known mines. We encourage high standards in the mining industry to protect human rights and ecologically sensitive land.

We are often reflecting on ways in which our products and packaging can align with best practice for the environment. We made the switch from plastic bags to cardboard packaging and have introduced a box-back initiative where customers can return their packaging for re-purpose, or we can recycle it for them.

When you purchase a ring from us, you become a valued member of the Max Wilson’s family and receive premium after-care service. We want your ring to always sparkle and be kept in a safe condition. Therefore, it is important to have it cleaned and checked at our store on a regular basis. Each of our engagement rings is accompanied by our Ultimate Customer Care Package which includes:
- Free inspection, professional clean and polish every six months for ten years.
- Free ring sizing at the time of purchase, plus one extra sizing if your ring becomes too loose or tight within the next ten years.
- Free valuation and photograph at the time of purchase plus on update within ten years.
- Free rhodium plating on your white gold ring once a year, for ten years, to make your ring sparkle and shine.
